Skating in the Hills

My son was playing on his skateboard, and since my nasty "Your too old for this" fall at Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, I think I'll play with my camera and a little bit of Lightroom and Photoshop instead.

Orange Street Fair

Crafts, games, food and drink. It's the Orange Street Fair in Old Town each year. Pretty hot, but a great time. Here my daughter takes on a plate of noodles from "China Street." Processed with Photoshop to better highlight the subject, given how much is going on in the background.

Mammoth Adventure Center

Recently went back our place in Mammoth and the kids had a great time at the Adventure Center.

Catching Up

It seems like my life has been a bit of a blur since April, and that I've been "asleep at the switch" from a blog perspective. Thus, here are a few photos to catch up. A few of my favorite So Cal and Eastern Sierra shots. These include shots at Lake Mary (in Mammoth), as well as Sierra Star Golf Course, Etnies Skate Park (Lake Forest) and a shot of me signing my initials via sparkler on the 4th of July.

Foundation Games 2010

My kids competed in "The Foundation Games" track & field event this weekend. Very fun time, with over 1,700 kids from various elementary kids in North Orange County represented. The kids had a blast and it made for some fun photo opportunities (with the big lens).

Pull Over!

Driving to Staples in Orange this evening with my daughter and had to pull over to grab a shot of the sunset. Love playing with longer exposures, and also trying out a new travel kit that I put together with a Canon G11, small Slik tripod and backpack. I don't like to keep my 50D and L lenses in the car, but this will work for those impromptu moments.

First Hike of 2010

Went hiking in Anaheim Hills yesterday and had a great time. This is an HDR image that was shot at 3 different exposures.
